Over 300 IITans have come together to form an organization to guide and "mentor" JEE aspirants. The JEE entrance test is taken by lacs of students every year(this year about 4 lac people gave the test of which only 8000 students will be able to gain admission into the IITs).
The IIT entrance exam is one of the toughest exams in the world and is the cause of anxiety and stress amongst all aspirants. After clearing JEE, the IIT students got to know that this feeling was common with almost everyone who had cleared the exam. Having realized this they then set out to ensure that the problems faced by them during their preparation should not be faced by their juniors.
The IIT students felt there is a lot of non-academic help needed to crack the exam, which the school or the coaching institution is not able to provide probably because of the difficulty in approachability of the teachers and tutors.
A JEE aspirant faces many queries. Unfortunately these doubts remain unanswered and thereby affect his performance in examination. So, with a vision to aid and assist talent, aiming to provide a "mentor" to JEE aspirants, "EDUCELL" was founded.
Undoubtedly there is no one better to guide the aspirants than the people who "have been there and done that" !
EDUCELL consists of 4 departments –
Mentoring: Responsible for guiding the aspirants and make them feel comfortable. Mentoring is planned to be done via phone, through the emails and through Internet forums.
